39. Theatre Place
622-644 Main Street
Theater Place consiusts of two buildings - one long two story structure, and a five story structure. The two story portion, designed by Green & Wicks in 1903 as stores for Delia Root, sports lion heads at its top. The taller building, built in 1896, was designed by architect Edward A. Kent who had the unfortunate distinction of being the only Buffalonian to die in the Titanic disaster of 1912.
