29. Niagara Mohawk Building

 The Beaux-Arts Classical Revival style Electric Building, now called the Niagara Mohawk Building, resembles but is not a replica of the Electric Tower designed by archtitects Esenwein & Johnson for the Pan-Americans Exposition.
The signature feature of this building is the central tower that is reminiscent of the Pharos lighthouse of Alexandria, Egypt, one of the wonders of the ancient world.
Looking much like a wedding cake, the 294-foot-high, 14-story building still is a dominate part of the Buffalo skyline as it sports different color lighting depending on the season.
